We are in Cappadocia, in Central Anatolia – and we can’t shut our mouths at all because we are so amazed.

Actually, we had already made our way to an expensive balloon ride, but nevertheless we had set our alarm clock to 3:45 a.m. the day before the planned tour and went up into the hills. Motorcycles are sooo practical.

3:45 a.m. was also a stressful time because we had dinner the night before with Marius and Katja from @motogether and were not in bed as early as we had planned (yes, yes, the age :-))

Around half past four you could see that the first balloons were being filled – the glow of fire in the dark was very impressive. Little by little the balloons flew up into the sky and in the twilight it looked so atmospheric that we couldn’t shut our mouths and didn’t care about camera and smartphone anymore, we just stared in amazement. Like little children at the sight of the birthday cake. Simply magical.

We took some photos after all. And the planned balloon tour was cancelled, it just can’t get better than today.

Tomorrow we will set off towards Nemrut Dagi and Dark Canyon. We will see what else this beautiful country has to offer.
